Who are we?

The Nepean Domestic Violence Network (NDVN) is a collaboration of professional workers from government and non-government organisations that provide services and support to women with or without children impacted by domestic and family violence in the Nepean region.

What do we do?

The NDVN is committed to a coordinated and unified approach in addressing domestic and family violence and advocates, raises awareness and educates about the impacts of abusive behaviours including physical, sexual, emotional, cultural, spiritual, social and financial abuse. We raise awareness and the profile of domestic and family violence through education, promotion and advocacy.

We identify, prioritise and respond to emerging trends by being alert and responsive and actively advocating to all levels of government for policy change and resources to address the issue of domestic and family violence and support impacted women and their children.

We work from a gendered perspective of domestic and family violence which recognises that it largely affects women and children and is perpetrated by men. This sits within an evidence base of gender dynamics between men and women that include the social, political and individual experience of gender.
